The 44th running of the Chickamauga Chase is April 21st, 2012!
The Chase, which benefits the efforts of the Friends, is the signature event of the Chattanooga Track Club.
The oldest continually run road race in the Chattanooga area, the 15k event is one of America's oldest races at that distance. A competitive 5k, Scenic Walk, and Kiddie K make The Chickamauga Chase a must-do event for the whole family.
The courses take runners past many of the Park's historic sites, monuments and markers within the Chickamauga Battlefield.

Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park and its Friends organization announce that Patrice Hobbs Glass has joined the Park staff as its first-ever Volunteer Coordinator. Glass’ hiring represents a major step toward the goal of establishing a proactive and sustainable volunteer program for the 9,100-acre Park. The new employee will focus exclusively on recruiting, training, managing and thanking those who volunteer for the national park. Her initial salary is being funded by a partnership of three private donors coordinated by the Friends. The partnership includes donors from both Tennessee and Georgia: Mr. Greg A.
