Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia: Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park is looking for volunteers to participate in Living History programs presented this summer. In commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the inauguration of Jefferson Davis as president of the Confederacy, Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park invites the public to attend a special program at the Alabama Monument, located off Battleline Road on Chickamauga Battlefield, February 19, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. EST. Join a Park Ranger in this one hour program as he discusses the Confederacy’s first days and the continued uncertainty of the nation as the president of the Confederacy visited the battlefield in 1863.
